New The Red Zone Episode: Gerry DiNardo Interview

The “The Red Zone” podcast has a new episode titled “Gerry DiNardo Interview”

Here’s the summary:

Gerry DiNardo — Big Ten Network analyst and former head coach at Vanderbilt, LSU and Indiana — joined The Redzone with Garrett Elliott on Thursday to discuss the sexual abuse charges against former Penn State defensive coordinator, Jerry Sandusky.  They also discuss Joe Paterno’s firing and what will be left of his coaching legacy when all is said and done.  Further, they discuss how it’s fathomable that the 28-year-old graduate assistant, Mike McQueary, who walked-in on Sandusky raping a 10-year-old boy and did not report it to anybody but former Coach Paterno two days later, still has a coaching job.  Make sure to follow Garrett on Twitter @BigRed6810 and “like” his Facebook page, The Redzone with Garrett Elliott.

Reminder: FCC to test Emergency Alert System on November 9th

This is just a reminder:

On November 9, 2011 at approximately 2:00 PM, FEMA and the FCC will test the Emergency Alert System using the Presidential Emergency Activation Notification. The Emergency Activation Notification (EAN) has never been tested before, so here are a few things you need to know:

  1. The test will be over 2 minutes in length instead of the normal 10-60 second lengths.
  2. All radio, television, cable, and satellite operators will air the test at exactly the same time.

Although this test is occurring at a time when national security, economic, and worldwide tensions are high, it is important to remain calm; this is only a test of the system. There is no need to contact emergency centers or authorities unless you are party or witness to an emergency situation at that time.
