Meadow Brook Hall is once again offering self-guided tours through the estate while it is adorned in lights and decorations, beginning on November 23rd.

“Holiday Lights and Winter Nights” is becoming a tradition as the event enters its 47th year this season. Meadow Brook will be modeling a similar theme to the Rochester downtown lights; the light-covered structure will be available for viewing until 8:00 PM. Several activities are prepared to keep guests in the holiday spirit all day. The grounds will offer strolling carolers, bonfires with s’mores, a cash bar with warm holiday drinks.

Specifically, the landmark will include over 50 trees draped with lights, as well as, holiday ribbons, garland, and smells. One of the most grand holiday trees will be constructed out of 150 poinsettias, towering up to roughly 10-feet tall.

Once Christmas is a tad closer on Dec. 21, 22, and 23, Meadow Brook invites the whole family to celebrate as Santa Claus himself will be making a visit. Additionally, Santa’s reindeer will be waiting outside once he needs to return to the North Pole. Despite his busy schedule, Santa Claus and his sleigh of reindeer will be available for photos from 11 AM to 4 PM on Dec. 21, and 11 AM to 8 PM Dec. 22 and 23.

Moving through the estate at your our pace during one of the self-guided tours is a completely new experience. Guests are welcome to take their time to explore the history of the National Historic landmark and feel the warmth of the holiday season before Christmas arrives.
