Nick Jonas is busier than ever with a Golden Globe nomination (for the song “Home” from the new animated film “Ferdinand”) and spreading tons of buzz for his upcoming film “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” playing in theaters next Wednesday. The busy actor, singer and songwriter took time to talk to 15 college media outlets around the country including schools from Chicago, San Diego, Dallas, Boston, Philidelphia — and OU.
During the interview, Jonas discussed how his role as Alex impacts the film, hijinks that occurred on and off set and what it was like working alongside a talented cast (Jack Black, Dwane Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan).
Jonas also explained that the film picks up where the original board game adventure story left off though this time, the new characters are sucked into Jumanji in the form of a video game. The sequel, which takes place 20 years after the original ends, pays tribute to the late Robin Williams and his character Alan Parrish with a few easter eggs throughout the film.
