The Couplet Collection #2

A poem by Julian Enghauser

Eternal sorrow

for the beloved.

To hug them

one last time.

To hear their voice,

one last time.

Truth shaped as art,

better than words escaping lips.

Beyond the eyes,

where their memory goes.

Painted in joy,

forever living their best.

Too great to be repaid,

yet here I try,

my gift to you.
