WXOU Staff and Volunteer favorite Albums and Songs of 2023

It’s the new year and with the new year comes a fresh slate of music that is being released within the coming months. So here are WXOU Staff and Volunteers favorite albums and singles of 2023.

Andrew Deacon - Program Director:

Andrew’s favorite album of the year was “Scaring the Hoes” by JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown. His favorite song was “Only” by Sampha. 

Chelsea Bossert - Music Director:

Chelsea’s favorite album of 2023 was “Wallsocket” by Underscores. Her favorite song of the year was “Talk to Me Nice” by Tinashe. 

Syd Rauch - Promotions Director:

Syd’s favorite album of the year was “Manic Dream Pixie” by Peach PRC and their favorite song was “Love Language” by Zinadelphia.

Kaylah Snell - Volunteer

Kaylah’s favorite song of 2023 was “Happy Anniversary” by Fvneral and her favorite album was “Wake Up and It’s Over” by Lovejoy. 

Jeffery Childs - Volunteer

Jeffery’s favorite song of the year was “Carry Me Along” by Nelward and his favorite album of the 2023 was “Diagnosis” by Sen Morimoto.

Paul Taylor - Volunteer

Paul’s favorite album of 2023 was “Black Classical Music” by Yussef Days and his favorite song of the year was “Der Guder Dør” by Vemod.
