Across the Bounds of Fate is something of a concept album allowing Lena Raine full freedom to memorialize what could have been with EARTHBLADE.

For years now fans have been in agreement that if there was anyone who could revive the band, it would be Aaron Turner. It would seem Neurosis agreed.

Tonally, the album veers from softer tracks like "Daylight" to more aggressive and lyrically condemning tracks like "Shovel" which criticizes the music industry and tries to defame music criticism... oops.
