Mere Mortals uses the oscillation between silence and chaos as an incredibly powerful tool to evoke the ideas of Pandora's unleashed entropy. Like an auditory representation of all the chaos and evil stored in Pandora's pithos, "Movement 3" uses dissonant strings and polyrhythmic beats to unnerve and offput the listener.

This grants the album a very cinematic and dramatic progression, not dissimilar from Dante's own journey from the dark, mysterious woods where he emerged in Canto I.

The New Abnormal is not just a great selection of songs with a variety of pop hooks, raw vocals, and spacey electronics. The album feels like a reunion, like a group of friends getting over their grievances and petty disagreements to recognize their care for one another.

Across the Bounds of Fate is something of a concept album allowing Lena Raine full freedom to memorialize what could have been with EARTHBLADE.

For years now fans have been in agreement that if there was anyone who could revive the band, it would be Aaron Turner. It would seem Neurosis agreed.
