As host of the Horizon League Tournament, Oakland took advantage and beat #5 seed Purdue Fort Wayne 1-0.

The first 45 minutes welcomed the lone goal of the match, coming from Owen Smith and assisted by Ville Ohola at the 24:26 mark.

It was a match played mostly mid-field, with only 10 combined shots between the two teams and PFW failed to get any shots on goal.

With the season on the line, it was expected for it to be a roughly played game, and it was. PFW amassed 15 fouls, and the Golden Grizzlies tallied 13 of their own.

With the victory, Oakland looks to bring home the Horizon League Championship on Saturday, Nov. 11th at 1pm against #2 seed Green Bay.
